ATTENDANCE – Progress and advancement is attained only by consistently attending class.  Every effort must be made to keep absences to a minimum to none.  Be on Time, you are expected to arrive At least 5 minutes early.

Ballet/Pointe - Black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. COMPANY members, Intermediate/Advanced Students – Revolution Pink Split Sole Ballet shoes, pink pointe shoes.
Jazz/Lyrical/Tap - Solid color leotard or unitard, lycra or cotton jazz pants or boy shorts, tan, pink or black tights and Revolution tan slip on jazz shoes, Revolution tan tap shoes, dance paws or foot undies for Lyrical.
Tumbling - (Girls) any color leotard and athletic shorts. (Boys) t-shirt & shorts.  No shoes needed for this class. 
Creative Movement – Pink or black leotard, pink tights, Revolution pink ballet shoes, NO ballet skirts!
Preschool Ballet/Tap - Black leotard, pink or tan tights, Revolution pink ballet shoes, Revolution tan tap shoes. NO ballet skirts. 
Boys - White tank or t-shirt, black jazz pants or sweatpants. Shoes: black jazz, tap and ballet shoes. For ballet class boys will need black tights and dance belt with white tank or t-shirt. 
Hip Hop – Comfortable clothes, black dance sneakers.  Please no jeans!
Pom – Comfortable clothes/pom uniform, See Ms. Angela for shoe information.
Clogging – Comfortable clothes, black clogging shoes with Steven Stomper taps.  Please no jeans!
Adult Dance Classes – Comfortable clothes with dance sneakers, tan jazz shoes, tan tap shoes, black clogging shoes.
ALL Company Dancers –    **See company guidelines before buying new shoes.

ALL STUDENTSYou will wear cover ups to and from Dance Theatre.

DRESS CODE – Students are expected to wear the appropriate dancewear as listed and have hair neatly secured away from face & neck for all classes.  No jeans, Umbros, Shorts, T-shirts, etc. can be worn for dancewear. 

HAIR- Hair Must be tightly pulled away from face & neck, in ALL classes. Ballet Students- hair must be pulled into a secure Bun with hair net and bobby pins.

FOOD & DRINKS - ABSOLUTELY NO food, drinks or candy are allowed outside of the break room.  This applies not only to our students but also parents and siblings, unless given permission by the director or DToM staff.  Please help keep our studio clean. 

HOLIDAYS – Dance Theatre will follow the Greenville County School Schedule for most holiday closings.  This does Not include Teacher Workdays and some Monday holidays.  Dance Theatre will follow Greenville County School Schedule for cancellations due to inclement weather.  Missed classes due to inclement weather will not be rescheduled.  If you are unsure, please call the studio or check the website.

TUITION – Tuition is not based on a cost per month basis.  All tuition is due on or before the 10th of each month, regardless of what day this may fall.   A $10 late fee will be applied to all accounts Not paid by the 10th. Tuition remains the same whether it is a 3 week or 5 week month, regardless of student absences. Tuition is based on the amount of weeks in a season running August 18 – May 23 (36 lessons). (ex 1-one hour class $450 for the entire season).  Tuition for a student who attend more than one class or have a sibling attending class, is determined by how many classes and how many children are taking.  All Tuition is based on how many weeks are in a season, then totaled & divided into monthly or semester installments.   Payment & Discounts vary depending on which installment plan you choose.  *Family discounts apply to those with more than one child enrolled.  Options: 1. Season Paid In-Full   2. Semester Installments (DUE in August, January & April)   3. Monthly Installments (10 monthly payments Aug 18 – May 23) *It is preferred that monthly payments be paid by Electronic Draft!  Tuition past due over 20 days will suspend student from class until the balance is paid. If you or your child decides to stop attending Dance Theatre on Main, tuition will continue to accrue unless we are notified with a written notice of withdrawal. No tuition or costume payment will be refunded if you withdraw before the Dance Season is completed.   A $30 returned check fee is charged for all returned checks.  For your convenience, preaddressed envelopes are provided with payment booklets. Please note that statements are mailed for overdue accounts ONLY!

NEWSLETTERS –Please make sure that you receive and thoroughly read ALL newsletters, handouts and posted information.  It is imperative that you read all information given out; this will keep you informed and up to date on all events, performances, fundraisers, etc. at Dance Theatre.

WEBSITEwww.DanceTheatreOnMain.com - As with our newsletter, our site will keep you posted on all current Dance Theatre happenings.  Any information you receive at our studio will also be available online. 

COSTUMES & Tights– All costumes will be ordered in January/February. A costume deposit of $25 will be due by October 30th and the balance, expected to be between $25-$75, is due by November 30th. If your child enrolls in more than 1 class expect to pay a deposit of $25 for each class and expect the balance to be $25-$75 for each costume.  You may choose to have your costume fee included in your monthly or semester tuition installments. Costume payments are non-refundable since made to order costumes cannot be returned.  No costume will be ordered without full payment.  Tights will be ordered by Groove On.  Fees for tights will need to be made payable to Groove On.  Expected cost of tights per class is $8.00-$15.00 *Please note that some students may need minor alterations on recital costumes.  DToM uses Alterations & More on Trade Street in Fountain Inn.

OBSERVATION – It is our belief that students work more productively when not observed.  Teachers need the student’s full attention without interruption or distraction to teach effectively.  For this reason, parents, friends, and family members are asked to observe class on the designated “Parents Weeks”.  Parents are invited to attend Parent’s Week December 15-19and March 30-April 3.  Dance Theatre on Main is equipped with Closed Circuit Television.

LATE PICK UP – If your child is not picked up with in 15 minutes after the end of class a fee of $10 will be charged for every 15 minutes thereafter. 

MANDATORY Dress Rehearsals – Friday, May 22nd 4:00-9:00pm at the Fountain Inn Civic Center *students will receive assigned rehearsal times during the designated rehearsal time frame. 

RECITAL #1 – May 23rd 2:00pm All preschool age students, Spirits, and Fierce Troupe
All balances must be paid in full to participate in our Spring Recital.  

RECITAL #2 – May 23rd 5:00pm ages 6 & up and Adult classes, Fierce Troupe, NO High School classes.
All balances must be paid in full to participate in our Spring Recital.  

RECITAL #3 May 23rd 8:00pm ALL Company, Clogging Team & Solos, Duets, Trios, Co. Small groups and High School classes.
A detailed recital information packet will be given out in April.

RECITAL TICKETS – Each family will receive 2 free tickets for mom & dad, any additional tickets will be available for purchase starting 1 month before Recital. Please purchase your tickets early, we always sell out! Civic Center ticket prices - Dance Theatre students $4, Children 10 & under $8, Adults $12
 
TROPHIES
- All students receive a participation trophy for each year completed at Dance Theatre, a special award will be given for 3, 5, 7 & 10 years attendance.  There is a trophy fee of $8.00 due with your costume balance in November. Students will receive trophies during the last week of classes.

REGISTRATION – All NEW students are asked to attend Registration Day August 2nd for placement and scheduling.  Returning students may register by phone or email, sending the completed form with fee by August 2nd in order to reserve your space.  Registration fee - $20 per student   $35 per family with more than one child enrolled.
Registration fees are to reserve your child’s space in classes and cover costs of administrative fees to record information.
